Resistant to shocks and impacts

The reinforced swivel fork, combined with a thick polyurethane tire, is designed for intensive use of casters. The heavy-duty casters with brakes are ideal for heavily loaded transport carts that must endure shock loads and side impacts. The swivel fork has a double hardened ball race, firmly riveted at multiple points, which ensures backlash-free operation. The swivel caster has a forward brake that simultaneously blocks both the wheel and the swivel ring without backlash.

Forward brake

Unlike traditional castors, the yellow galvanized brake is on the other side of the castor fork. When the cart is pushed forward, the brake moves forward with it. This means that the push bar of the transport cart does not have a protruding brake, minimizing the risk of injury to the shin. The brake is adjustable and blocks the wheel and the fork simultaneously without play.

Wear-resistant and durable

The polyurethane tire is highly resistant to rough concrete floors with steel shavings, dust, oil and other contaminants. Polyurethane is both hard and elastic, which results in minimal wear from friction and contact with rough surfaces. The reinforced 8 mm thick swivel is well lubricated and can be re-lubricated via the grease nipple. The thickened swivel is almost completely sealed and is further protected from dust and dirt by a red dust ring.

Low rolling resistance

The natural properties of polyurethane result in little friction with the surface, which results in low rolling resistance and long rolling continuity. The wheels have a precision ball bearing (6204 ZZ) on both sides.

Optional: directional lock

The swivel casters with forward brake can be equipped with a directional lock. This can be ordered as an option if you want to be able to block the swivel function and change it to one direction, comparable to a fixed caster. The directional lock is mounted under the top plate and can be operated with the foot. When the direction retainer is pressed and the application is moved, the mechanism automatically clamps, regardless of the position of the swivel fork.
