The heavy duty swivel castors with brakes are characterized by an extremely solid steel welded fork, combined with a robust polyamide wheel. These steel welded swivel castors are ideal in situations where the risk of collisions with forklift trucks is high, or in very robust environments where minimal failure and a long lifespan are essential. The swivel fork is equipped with a forward brake that simultaneously blocks both the swivel and the wheel, with the brake direction always parallel to the direction of travel.

The steel welded swivel fork is composed of an 8 mm mounting plate, in which an axial pivot bearing in combination with a tapered roller bearing functions as a swivel head. The swivel head is firmly attached to the mounting plate with triple screws and securely locked with a spot weld. This turntable is sealed and lubricated for its entire lifespan, but can be re-lubricated if necessary. The welded attachment of the fork legs to the turntable makes the castor very resistant to lateral shocks. In addition, the swivel forks are yellow passivated, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance.

The precision injection-molded polyamide wheel is free of air bubbles and uneven material distribution, resulting in a wheel with a high load capacity and excellent impact and shock resistance. The wheels are equipped with double precision ball bearings, which means they offer low rolling resistance and high rolling continuity on flat surfaces.
