Polyurethane, steel-welded castor 200 mm - 1000 kg

The 200 mm braked castor is composed of a solid steel welded fork, combined with a sturdy cast iron polyurethane wheel. These steel welded castors are ideal for heavy-duty applications that traverse uneven terrain, have an increased risk of collisions with forklift trucks or are used in rough conditions where maximum reliability is essential. The swivel fork is equipped with a forward brake that simultaneously locks both the swivel and the wheel. This brake is configured so that it is always in the direction in which the application is being moved.

The steel welded swivel fork includes an 8 mm mounting plate, above which an axial pivot bearing in combination with a tapered roller bearing acts as a swivel head. The underside of the swivel head is firmly attached to the mounting plate with three screws and securely welded with a spot weld. The turntable has a protective cover and remains lubricated throughout its service life, but can be re-lubricated if necessary. The welded attachment of the fork legs to the turntable makes the swivel castor extremely resistant to lateral shocks. In addition, the swivel forks are yellow passivated, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance.

The wheel consists of a vulcanized polyurethane tire that is firmly chemically bonded to the cast iron rim. This polyurethane tire shows excellent resistance to cracks and notches. The heavy-duty swivel casters with brakes are equipped with double precision ball bearings, which in combination with the polyurethane results in swivel casters with relatively low resistance to collisions and a smooth rolling continuity.
