The 250 mm braked swivel castor is composed of an extremely sturdy welded steel fork combined with a robust cast iron polyurethane wheel. These welded steel swivel castors are ideal for demanding situations. They are suitable for applications with uneven terrain, an increased risk of collisions with forklift trucks, or in very robust environments where minimal downtime is essential. The swivel fork is equipped with a forward brake that simultaneously blocks both the turntable and the wheel. This brake ensures that the brake is always in the same direction as the direction of movement of the application.

The steel welded swivel fork includes an 8 mm thick mounting plate, in which an axial pivot bearing in combination with a tapered roller bearing functions as a turntable. The underside of the turntable is attached three times to the mounting plate and securely locked with a spot weld. The turntable is sealed and lubricated for its entire lifespan, but can be re-lubricated if necessary. The fixed welding of the gaff legs to the turntable makes the swivel wheel very resistant to lateral shocks. In addition, the swivel forks are yellow passivated, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance.

The wheel consists of a vulcanized polyurethane tire that is firmly chemically bonded to the cast iron rim. The polyurethane tire is resistant to cracks and notches. The heavy swivel casters with brakes are equipped with double precision ball bearings, which, in combination with the polyurethane, guarantees a relatively low impact resistance and a high rolling continuity.
