The 300 mm braked swivel castor is characterized by a solid steel welded fork in combination with a robust cast iron polyurethane wheel. These steel welded castors are mainly used in heavy conditions, where uneven surfaces, potentially dangerous collisions with forklift trucks or robust work environments are the order of the day and where a minimal chance of breakdown is essential. The swivel fork is equipped with a forward brake that simultaneously blocks both the swivel and the wheel. This brake ensures that the direction of braking is always the same as the direction of movement of the application.

The steel welded swivel fork contains an 8 mm mounting plate, where an axial pivot bearing together with a tapered roller bearing functions as a swivel ring. The underside of the swivel ring is firmly attached to the mounting plate with three screws and is additionally secured with a spot weld. The turntable is covered and remains lubricated throughout its service life, but can be re-lubricated if necessary. The welded attachment of the fork legs to the turntable makes the caster very resistant to lateral shocks. In addition, the swivel forks are yellow passivated, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance.

The wheel consists of a vulcanized polyurethane tire that is firmly chemically bonded to the cast iron rim. This polyurethane tire is highly resistant to cracks and indentations. The heavy-duty wheels are equipped with double precision ball bearings, which, in combination with the polyurethane, results in casters with a relatively low rolling resistance and a high rolling continuity.
