About Our Privacy Policy

Interwiel values your privacy. We only process data that we require for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided via the website of Interwiel. The effective date of these terms is 15/06/2023; by publishing a new version, the validity of all previous versions is revoked. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, how it is used, and with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us. E-Commerce Software Lightspeed

Our webshop is developed using Lightspeed commerce software. Personal data that you provide to us for our services is shared with this party. Lightspeed has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, but they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have with them, Lightspeed is obliged to take appropriate security measures. Lightspeed uses cookies to collect technical information related to your use of the software, but no personal data is collected and/or stored.

Email and Mailing Lists SendinBlue

We send our email newsletters using SendinBlue. SendinBlue will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every automated email sent via our website, you will find an ‘unsubscribe’ link. If you click this link, you will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely transmitted, stored, and accessed by SendinBlue. SendinBlue uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. Furthermore, SendinBlue processes information about you as a recipient and the subject line of emails to improve the quality of its services. This data is retained for 30 days. SendinBlue reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and may share information with third parties in this context.

Strato

We use Strato for our regular business email communication. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent abuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Strato does not have access to our mailbox, and we handle all our email communication confidentially.

Payment Processors Mollie

To handle (some of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and may share (anonymised) data with third parties in this context. All guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data mentioned above also apply to parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than legally permitted.

Shipping and Logistics GLS

When you place an order with us, it is our duty to deliver your package to you. We use GLS’s services for deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence with GLS. GLS only uses this data to execute the agreement. If GLS engages subcontractors, they will also have access to your data.

Invoicing and Accounting Silvasoft

We use Silvasoft’s services to maintain our administration and accounting. We share your name, address, and order details with them. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. Silvasoft is obliged to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Silvasoft does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Purpose of Data Processing General Purpose of Processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share your data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time—other than at your request—we will explicitly ask for your consent. Your data is not shared with third parties, except for compliance with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality under agreements with us or legal obligations.

Automatically Collected Data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation in Fiscal and Criminal Investigations

In some cases, Interwiel may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits allowed by law.

Retention Periods

We retain your data as long as you remain our client. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will treat it as a request to be forgotten. We also retain your data for a maximum of two years from the last contact or transaction unless there is a legal justification for a longer retention period.

Cookies Google Analytics

Our website places cookies from Google Analytics to track and report on website usage. Google may be required by applicable laws to provide access to this data. We collect information about your browsing behaviour and share this data with Google, which may combine it with other datasets to track your internet activity. Personal data is used for personalised ads.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend our privacy policy at any time. However, the most recent version will always be available on this page. If the new privacy policy affects how we process previously collected data, we will notify you by email.
